What I'm looking for

Almost anything on a record. These especially:

Gospel — quartet, choir, jubilee, and records a church pressed itself
Rock — surf, garage, classic, and anything in between
Soul and R&B — Motown, Stax, deep soul, doo-wop, funk, disco
Jazz and blues — bebop, spiritual jazz, Delta and electric blues
Anything else — reggae, hip-hop, rock, country, Latin
45s — the little ones in shoeboxes are often the good ones
A whole room — estates, downsizing, a church clearing out its library

You don't have to know what you've got

Almost nobody does — that's my job, not yours. I'll go through the stack with you and say plainly what's there. If something's worth real money, you'll hear it from me before you decide.

What happens when I come out

You call or text. Roughly how many records, what town you're in, and some pictures if you can.
We pick a time that suits you. Your home, your church, a storage unit — wherever they're sitting.
We go through them together. I'll tell you what I'm seeing, including anything unusual.
I write down an offer. On paper, with my name on it, so you can think it over or show family.
You decide. Yes, and I pay cash and carry every box out. No, and I thank you for your time.

Why folks call me

Most of my work comes by word of mouth — a funeral director, a pastor, a neighbor. That only keeps up if I do right by people the first time.
Looking is free, with no obligation. Plenty of people call just to find out, and never sell. That's fine by me.
Bring family in on it. I'd prefer someone you trust sat in, or listened on speakerphone.
I do the lifting. Heavy crates, damp boxes. You shouldn't move any of it.
Cash the same day. No consignment, no waiting on a check to clear.

Where I'll drive

Anywhere in the state, no minimum to get me on the road. Just over the Georgia or North Carolina line? Call anyway.
